Verliebt gleichermaßen in den Prozess des Radierungen machens und in die Musik der Magnetic Fields, lag es damals nahe, für meine Abschlussarbeit 2006 die wunderbaren 69 Love Songs zu illustrieren. Über ziemlich genau ein Jahr entstanden 69 Radierungen, eine zu jedem Song. Und auch wenn ich heute viele der Grafiken anders machen würde, bleiben sie mein erstes, richtiges grafisches Baby, ein geliebter, liebenswerter, runzliger Wonneproppen.
In love with the process of making etchings and the music of The Magnetic Fields, it seemed obvious to illustrate the wonderful „69 Love Songs“ for my final thesis in 2006. Over almost exactly a year, I created 69 etchings, one for each song. And even if I would do many of the graphics differently today, they remain my first, real graphic baby, a beloved, lovable, wrinkled bundle of joy.
